After an average of four weeks, the affected areas of skin begin to itch. Heat makes the itching worse. It is particularly noticeable under the bedclothes at night. Nodules and pustules appear on the skin, especially in warm places such as between the fingers on in the genital area. A rash can also appear on the rest of the body.
