Wiener Prinzipien: Deutsche AIDS-Gesellschaft, Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe und Community-Vertretungen unterzeichnen Prinzipien zur Beteiligung am Deutsch-Österreichischen AIDS-Kongress
Wien (22. Juli 2010). Im Rahmen der XVIII. Internationalen Aids-Konferenz 2010 in Wien haben die Deutsche AIDS-Gesellschaft sowie die Deutsch AIDS-Hilfe e.V. (DAH), Positiver Dialog (Österreich) und LHIVE (Schweiz) einen verbindlichen Rahmen für den Deutsch-Österreichischen AIDS-Kongress vereinbart: Er soll die Einbindung von Menschen mit HIV/Aids nicht nur bei den Kongressen selbst, sondern bereits bei Auswahl und Gestaltung der Themenschwerpunkte langfristig stärken.
Damit erwarten wir eine Stärkung von Praxisrelevanz und Interdisziplinarität des Kongressgeschehens. Für die Beteiligung der Communities an den Kongressgremien und in der Kongressstruktur wurden verbindliche Festlegungen getroffen.
Die DAH und ihre Partnerinnen und Partner setzen damit einen wichtigen Meilenstein in der Weiterentwicklung des Prinzips der stärkeren Einbeziehung von Menschen mit HIV-Aids (GIPA) und entwickeln dadurch neue internationale Maßstäbe.

New Standards for Community Participation at Scientific Conferences
Deutsche AIDS-Gesellschaft (DAIG), Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe (DAH) and Representatives of the Community sign Principles for Participation at the German-Austrian AIDS-Conference in 2011
Vienna (22th July 2010). At the XVIII. International Aids-Conference 2010 in Vienna the Deutsche AIDS-Gesellschaft (DAIG), the Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe (DAH), Positiver Dialog (Austria) and LHIVE (Switzerland) agreed upon a compulsory setting for the German-Austrian AIDS-Conference in 2011. The envolvement of people living with HIV/Aids should be ensured in the long term not only during the conference itself but also during planning and decision making about topics and issues.
Thus strengthening relevancy to practice and multidisciplinarity at the congress is expected. An obliging agreement concerning the participation of the Community in congress boards and congress structure have been made.
The DAH and partners have set an important milestone in the development of the participation of people living with HIV/Aids (GIPA Principle) and thus new international standards have been developed.
